Thank you for participating in the F-Secure Online Scanner beta program.
F-Secure Online Virus Scanner is a free service. You can use it to find out if your computer is infected, and disinfect your computer if needed. The product will automatically download the necessary components and virus definition databases as it is started. The product supports detection and disinfection for viruses, trojans, worms, spyware and rootkits.
The size of the download package is about 45 MB incl. databases.

The system requirements for running F-Secure Online Scanner are as follows:
- Processor: Intel Pentium III 600 Mhz
- Memory: 256 MB of RAM
- Operating system: Windows XP Home Edition and Professional 32-bit and Windows Vista 32-bit
(Note: The system must fulfill Windows Vista minimum requirements as specified by Microsoft.)
- Browser: Internet Explorer 6 or 7 with ActiveX enabled or Mozilla Firefox 3.
- Javascript needs to be enabled.
The F-Secure Online Scanner works with default Internet Explorer settings (Internet zone - Medium security level). If you have changed them, you may enable ActiveX and JavaScript from Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level.
Note: If JavaScript and ActiveX were disabled for security reasons, please remember the restore your original settings after scanning.
New features since the release of F-Secure Online Scanner 3.3 include:

Known issues in this release include:
- Internet Explorer users cannot close the browser while downloading the Online Scanner 4.0 executable.
- Firefox users may be required to uninstall the add-on if the downloading of F-Secure Online Scanner fails. Refer to the FAQs for uninstallation details.
- The splash screen is in English only.
